Practice Areas

At Hopkins Law, LLC, we provide the following legal services.

Estate Planning

We will guide you through the process of setting up an estate plan tailored to your unique needs, explaining the meaning and relevancy of the legal documents involved.  Options include a will, trust, power of attorney, and advanced healthcare directive.

Probate Administration

Probate is the court-supervised process of wrapping up a person's estate upon death, ensuring any creditors and taxes are paid, and assets are distributed to heirs pursuant to the person's intent (if there is a will) or pursuant to statute (if there is no will). We work closely with you to ensure legal documents are filed promptly, required notices are provided, and statutory deadlines are met.

Guardianships & Conservatorships

A legal process by which a guardian or conservator is appointed by the court to supervise the well-being of a person with diminished capacity (guardianship) or to manage the finances and business of a person who is financially incapable (conservatorship). We will work with you regarding whether a guardianship or conservatorship is appropriate for your particular circumstances and whether less restrictive alternatives are available.

We are ready to help you.

About Hopkins Law, LLC

Caroline Hopkins began her career as an attorney representing companies and individuals in matters involving a wide variety of claims. However, as she saw family members age and life take unexpected turns, she decided to move her practice into helping others plan for their futures and provide for their loved ones.  A natural listener, Caroline enjoys getting to know her clients and walking them through options available for their unique needs.

After attending the University of California, Riverside for her undergraduate degree, Caroline worked as a copy editor and writer in the marketing department of a large technology distribution and services company.  Finding she had an affinity for deep analysis, logic and writing, Caroline enrolled at California Western School of Law, where she was an editor on the school's law review. Upon graduation, she practiced in California before moving to Oregon in 2018 to be closer to family and because she loved the Pacific Northwest. Outside the office, Caroline enjoys hiking, running, knitting, and a love of books.
